Based on 101 reviewsAmbos Mundos Restaurant is widely recognized for its rich fusion of Filipino, Chinese, and Spanish-inspired dishes, reflecting a deep heritage in its menu offerings. Customers frequently praise the variety and authenticity of traditional favorites such as lumpiang shanghai, asado rice bowls, and seafood specialties. The generous portions and diverse options accommodate family dining well, making it a popular choice for celebrations and casual meals alike. Service is consistently described as warm and attentive, enhancing the overall experience. While the food receives high marks, some feedback notes that the restaurant's interior could benefit from renovation to match the quality of its cuisine. Overall, Ambos Mundos remains a beloved institution with strong local appeal.
Only commented here positively because they are carrying Wah Sun's food offerings. Love their lumpiang shanghai, chopsuey, canton and camaron rebosado. Hope they will renovate the place tho. It looks antiquated.
When you look this place up you are expecting a Spanish, Chinese, and filipino fusion. This place has roots and heritage with their mixed dishes. We tried the pork lumpia, special fried rice, and torta congrejo. Everything was delicious and unique. I would say the sauce in the torta congrejo was a little over powering the crab because of how much was applied. Overall the kind woman and son taking care of us were very accommodating. I hope a place like this stays open. Me and my friend traveled far to try this place and I would say she made it worth it. We had the whole restaurant to our selves and enjoyed each other’s company. My only critique would be to try better with sanitation. But on the flip slide these places have the best food.
Best eats in town! Must try the asado rice bowl and lohanchay for veggie lovers. Servings are for more than one and has a 2nd floor if you want some a/c. Attendants are etremely courteous ans attended to every need. A must after shopping th busy streets of divisoria or aranque and chinatown.
One of the oldest restaurant in the Philippines. They catered Filipino food for Ambos Mundos and Chinese food for Wah Sun. Delicious food specially the lechon rice, chung moon, comida tsina, crab and corn soup, beef tapa, camaron con jamon and hot chocolate. Highly recommended.
This place has been a part of a lot of family celebrations. The food is like a fiesta in the tummy, in your eyes and in your heart. They serve delicious food and has friendly service. Always coming back for more.
One of the heritage food sites of manila opened in 1888 it stood the test of time. Food is really good mix of filipino, Spanish and chinese
Old School Resto. My Dad In-law brought me here 15 years ago, it was still called Sun-Wah and located right across the street. There used to be a pet Baboy Ramo outside the establishment but the owner said it died a long time ago since it was already old. Their menu now consists of items from Sun-Wah/Wah-Sun (Chinese) and Ambos Mundos (Spanish/Filipino).We ordered Torta Congrejo, Ampalaya Beef, Asado, and Fried Rice.Very Nostalgic place. Good food!
Paella and lumpiang shanghaj! Omg! Super yummy! Value for money and very friendly staff and owner. Will definitely try their other dishes next time.
